Plummer Elementary

Plummer Elementary was founded as the second elementary school in Cedar Hill in 1972. We have about 400 students that grace our hallways each day. Each Longhorn is provided an enriching and challenging curriculum from Prek-5th grade in all content classes and special classes. Our school motto is to be Plummer Strong! Plummer Strong means that we are up to tackling all daily challenges with a positive spin. Teachers, support staff, and administration work together to help all Longhorns meet their developmental and academic goals. We look forward to partnering with parents/guardians and members of the community to help ensure that all Longhorns are successful.

Meet our Principal!

Dr. Trevena Nelson

I am part of this community. Both of my sons graduated from Cedar Hill High School. I most recently served as the Associate Principal at CHHS, in charge of Early College Academy (ECA). It’s a wonderful program. I’m confident we’ll help prepare Plummer scholars with the tools they need to prepare for middle school, and potentially, ECA. Prior to CHHS, I was the Associate Principal and Provost of Collegiate Academy & High School.

With several decades of instructional leadership, I am an educator who leads with heart. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and every one of you. Together, we’ll continue the strong tradition of #PlummerStrong.
